Peter Kryworuk is a Partner at Lerners LLP and Leader of the firmï¿½s Health Law Practice Group. Mr. Kryworuk is certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been included in the Best Lawyers in Canada since 2006 and has been recognized by Lexpert as a leading lawyer in the areas in medical negligence, personal injury, product liability and professional liability. He has also been identified by LawDay as one of the top leading lawyers in Canada in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, professional liability and product liability.
Mr. Kryworuk regularly acts as counsel for physicians in medical negligence actions, hospital privileges matters and other regulatory and licensing proceedings. He acted as counsel to the Honourable Mr. Justice Haines on the Meat Regulatory and Inspection Review in 2004. He has written and lectured extensively in his areas of practice.
He is very active in the community and has served on many boards and committees including serving as Chair of the Board at London Health Sciences Foundation, President of the London Ukrainian Centre and as a member of the Boards of the London Health Sciences Centre, London Community Foundation, Fanshawe College Foundation and other community organizations.
Mr. Kryworuk obtained his LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 1982 and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1984. In addition to his practice in health law Mr. Kryworuk also practices commercial litigation and personal injury/insurance litigation.
